My estranged DD moved to TX some years ago. She's a rather obnoxious and intense person and was only there a year or so before adopting y'all all.the.time. Now, up here in the PNW where she was raised we just don't use it. We say "you guys." So maybe I'm a bit touchy about this because of her. I do feel like some are appropriating an accent or vocabulary which is really not their own. I don't like this kind of fakeness.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Tariff chaos. Last week was horrid. Many extra hours, which are unusual. There was an in transit exempt when there were no reciprocal tariffs as those had gone away and no new 10% either. We had to push so many clearances out, it was horrid. I’ve been a broker for 15 years and this is the worst week I’ve ever had. Got a massage Tuesday. Feel so much better. My neck and shoulders were very stiff from the stress. I felt like I’d been beaten up after last week.

I slipped into my outdoor gardening shoes, kept in our garage , for the first time since last fall. There was something in the toe, like a ball of toilet paper. I shook it out and it was a small, dead, furry creature. I screamed
DH had to come and deal with that small dead creature. He says it’s either a mouse or a mole
