A pantry dinner. We're both too lazy to cook. Baked beans, sauerkraut, beets. DH is adding a sausage. I might add a cup of bone broth. (My DD gifted me a box of Brodo broths)

Texas stew… only 4 cans to open and meat to brown! Had friends over for lunch and they requested the recipe! Served with 5 cheese bread. Talk about easy!

Tonight is pizza from Aldi. They make a big one that is inexpensive and easily topped with our own desires.

okay---i hadta go backta the Flaming Wok for another plate o' vegetable fried rice & water. I did not have a Fanta with it, since i have some at home. But yeah----it was "yummy" and "delish", as you foodies would say. Thing is--i gotta start preparing VFR at home, since cafe's cost too much. So anyway---i told the lady(who is part of the management team) that the building used to be a Little ceasers, 25-35 years ago, then a car lot, then another pizza place. She knew that before they had the Wok, it was Rice House for 9 years prior. So, that fills in the blanks on the history, there. See---i been around here for 40 years---loinger than mosta these kids, so yeah---i've seen things change. Yup. But yeah---fried rice. No chickkin', no pork, no beef, no shrimp, nuna that. can't afford it. Nope.

okay---maybe you kids already know this, because it was front-page-news on MSN, but yeah---Target will no longer sell Lucky Charms and various other kinda saturday-morning-cartoons -type of cereals. So anyway---what that means is, you kids'll hafta get your Froot Loops somewhere else. Yup. Hope that helps you some. Thankk mee.

Had my birthday over the weekend so it was a food fest! LOL. Have various leftovers for at least 2-3 meals. Yay - no cooking!

Oh, what are beirocks? I cooked a corned beef round only 2 1/2 lb. this morning- in case the power goes out with the predicted storms. I have cabbage to make cole slaw. And rye bread for a sandwich tomorrow.
