I haven't heard the analysis of the talking heads yet, but I wonder if Trump shot the GOP in the foot with all his election antics. So long Mitch?

That would be incredible! To have Mitch McConnell suffer a humiliating defeat for all the suffering and hunger he is directly responsible for. The tide does seem to be turning in favor of human rights. Rob

Mitch isn't going anywhere and will continue his obstructions. He can't however keep a bill from being discussed.

I'm watching the rally to "Save America" on C-SPAN. There is a long roster of speakers, including Trump at some point today, and the following, while not minuscule, is not exactly the March on Washington.

I wonder if this whole thing will generate a third party offshoot of the GOP--kind of like a Tea Party back in the 2000s. Then the real GOP can get back to business.

Mitch McConnell has been a giant bolus of obstruction for years. I'm so glad to see him sidelined. He almost makes me believe in David Ickes' reptilian fantasies.

I have an ambitious dream that some day we'll get money out of politics and our elected officials will be chosen to respect the Constitution and serve the people.

I don't believe "both sides do it" , and I don't know how anyone can, given the stark difference between the parties today. I hope it's not too late in the game to save the democratic republic from "patriots."

Being demoted to Minority Leader would be devastating to his ego and sense of entitlement. We can all take solace in this after all the suffering this man is directly responsible for. Rob

Lordy, I hope so. The Tea Party and Grover Norquist have almost destroyed the country. The Lincoln Project is doing their best to target Republicans who embrace such divisiveness; I have the greatest respect for them.

Has the Senate ever been split down the middle before? I would think that made selecting a majority leader problematic.
