I read somewhere that ice maker lines leaking was the #1 kind of insurance claim on households. Then I think jp1 corrected me? Dont remember, but that “fact” whether false or real is still lodged in my brain.

I had heard that ice makers were the top reason for refrigerators to need service calls, and I've avoided them on that basis.
