Tell him to start cooking the bacon in the oven. Eliminates the mess on the stove top. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Line the bacon up on the sheet. Bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Comes out perfect every time. Less grease too. Wait for it to cool and then wrap the grease in the foil and dispose in the trash. If done right, there is no mess on the baking sheet and you can put it away so no extra clean up either. I will never cook bacon any other way now.

That is a good method, but for someone who cooks bacon often, doesn't that use up a ton of aluminum foil?

we cook bacon in the microwave oven. It is fairly easy to clean up. We have a grooved hard plastic device made for cooking bacon. Put paper towel on top to absorb grease.
