Ah, my heart goes out to you, Catherine. One of the kindest men I worked with had a similar story. He took my autistic grandson under his wing, and it was so sad and tough to take (an understatement) when he took ill and died very suddenly. Seems so unfair somehow.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!
